Dark Pouring Sky - Artistic Stoneware Vase
Made by Potter Swaroopa
With stoneware clay as Earth, amidst a soft sky of white porcelain clay applied on the pot with finger swiping, the cobalt blue glaze shows the sky breaks and pours its tears and becomes dark sky. The shape of the vase is from ancient Korean pottery- Yuhuchunping- a pear shaped vase.
To realize the dark skies devouring the white clouds that brings fright to farmers, hustle to hold our loved ones we all are trying to seek shelter and a bit of love. When the sky cries with tears of loneliness, let us show that it is not lonely but has the whole of Earth that is happy to feel its touch.
